Warm Light in the City

While relaxing on a bench underneath a small leafless tree next to a skyscraper, preparing to watch the day transition into the night, all of a sudden, several light poles near me turned on without warning, simultaneously, which immediately drew my attention!

I know that sounds a bit dramatic, so after laughing at myself out loud, I started focusing on the beauty of the warm shade of white, illuminating from the light poles shown in the photos attached to this post.

To my delight, the scenery began to give me a feeling of calmness; therefore, I decided to surrender to this moment and embrace it wholeheartedly.

Minutes into enjoying the peacefulness of this moment with my eyes shut tight, I suddenly heard the footsteps and voices of two people chatting up a storm, quickly approaching me from behind.

The noise they were making broke my concentration, causing me to open my eyes, and when I did, a bright shiny light reflecting from a building straight ahead of me caught my eye, which just so happened to be One World Trade Center.

As I continued absorbing the loveliness of this moment, I eventually stood up to take a few pictures for my journal, knowing that I would want to mentally revisit and write about this experience later in the week!

Just as I thought, I felt the desire to replay that moment tonight, so while taking a Tuesday evening stroll, I started reliving and capturing my thoughts of this spontaneous experience into my Evernote journal app, which I decided to share with you tonight.

Well, friends, that does it for this spur-of-the-moment #mindfulness post. I hope you found a few minutes of #calmness while reading about this experience.

Until we meet again on Saturday at 11 am ET, have a relaxing evening and a successful rest of your week. Let’s go! 😊
