Tuesday Reflection

I was taking a stroll this evening with a lot on my mind, more specifically, thinking about how precious life is and the importance of living each day, each hour, each second, and each moment to the absolute fullest!

As I continued taking my walk, I soon felt the ground tremble slightly, letting me know a train was nearby. Seconds later, I heard the sound of a train, and when I looked down the street, as you might expect, I spotted a train, with its bright white lights shining, traveling fast in my direction.

What’s more, in this particular instance, two trains were approaching my vicinity simultaneously, getting ready to glide past each other, one headed towards North Jersey and the other towards #NYC!

Since I was in a #mindfulness headspace, I purposely started embracing this moment wholeheartedly and began admiring the beauty of everything around me! As I stood on the city sidewalk with my New York Football Giants Toasty Cuffed Knitted Hat and Navy Blue Parka on, in the freezing weather, I suddenly placed my hands inside my pockets to get them nice and warm while I waited patiently for the trains to zoom right by me.

Friends, as I continued standing on the corner, waiting for the trains to go by, I then found myself appreciating the noise of the wind swirling around me, undoubtedly due to the force generated by the two trains. A frigid arctic blast came next, blowing forcefully up against my body, nearly making me stumble, as the two locomotives quickly flew past me!

After the trains were gone and the coast was clear, I started walking across the street, and that’s when I bumped into a friend who happened to be walking in the same direction. We had a delightful conversation while walking down the block, and after she went into the grocery store, I continued making my way to the fitness center. Let’s go!

Well, folks, I felt like writing on this super Tuesday evening to relax my mind and felt compelled to share what’s on my heart with you. And with that, tonight’s message is to encourage all of us to find time to slow down each day, intentionally, and appreciate the little things in life.

Until we meet again on Saturday at 11 am ET, live life to the fullest, and make the rest of your life the best of your life!
