The Garment District NYC

I woke up bright and early this morning eager to meet up with my jogging crew to kick off the Labor Day holiday weekend. This Saturday’s outing will have us running through the Garment District and the Herald Square area to get our cardio in. Let’s do it!

So after getting dressed, I hopped on the elevator, got off on the first floor, quickly made my way through the lobby, and entered the all-glass revolving doors to get outside.

The moment I set foot outside, I immediately felt the chill in the air, and I knew that mother nature was letting me know that fall was right around the corner. Bring it on!

Before I knew it, I was standing on 39th Street and Broadway in the Garment District Alliance, waiting on my friends while sipping on a FIJI Water bottle.

Since I still had about 15-minutes to burn before everyone was due to arrive, I decided that I would use the time to walk around and intentionally admire the nearby sights while snapping a few pics for my photo journal. Click-click!

As I was wandering around, I ended up bumping into another group of runners and happened to know two of the women in this crew. We spoke for a minute, and I plan on reconnecting with them soon for a jog around Central Park. Moreover, after seeing them running, I was now all fired up and ready to rock and roll. Let’s go!

The next thing I knew, my crew and I were jogging down Broadway towards Herald Square and eventually made our way up to the Times Square area and then back down to the Garment District.

Indeed, it was a pleasant run, and since I knew that you would be tagging along in spirit, I made periodic stops along the way to take some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Sharing these pics is a small token of my appreciation for you taking the time to read this post.

That leads me to my closing thoughts, which is to acknowledge the countless number of people in my LinkedIn network that reached out to check on me because of the unbelievable flooding we experienced here in the northeast. I appreciate you thinking of me, and please know that your kindness touched my heart. Thank you so much!

Well, friends, it’s time for me to now head down into the Times Square and 42nd Street subway station to get home. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together, and I look forward to our next jaunt around #nyc.

So, which of the photos piqued your curiosity the most?

As for me, I got a good chuckle out of the below pic because it seems like I keep catching birds in some of my shots lately. Lol!

Have a fun holiday weekend! 😊
