The First Day of Spring

I was out in Jersey City early this Sunday, jogging 🏃🏽 around and enjoying the gorgeous weather on this first day of spring!

About halfway through my run, I decided to stop near the Hyatt Regency so that I could find a place to sit and make a phone call.

Folks, the sudden need to make a phone call was because a dear friend of mine had just popped into my head, whom I’ve been meaning to call 📞 for quite some time; and as a result, I didn’t want to put off calling her another minute!

Note: If you’ve had a friend on your mind lately that you’ve been meaning to reach out to, I encourage you to call them today. ☎️

Okay, now back to my story.

To my delight, the spot I chose to chill out at had a terrific view of the #JerseyCity skyline, as shown in the images that I’ve attached to this post, which I’ve shared for your viewing pleasure.

Also worth mentioning, the bench where I decided to sit down to make my phone call had a large sign in front of it that piqued my curiosity. So, of course, I walked over to read it.

Moreover, the sign displayed some fascinating thoughts about the changing landscape of the Hudson River from as far back as the 17th century. Wow!

🛑 Stop and review the image below to see what I saw and read — worth a read.

After reading the sign and processing the information, I looked down at my left wrist to check the time on my Apple watch. Then, I re-started the stopwatch ⏱️ and began to run again. Let’s go! 🏃🏽

Twenty-five minutes later, I found myself sitting near the Goldman Sachs Tower, looking up and journaling ✍🏽 my thoughts into my iPhone.

Quick question? 🤔 After reading the above paragraph, did you find yourself looking up?

I bet you did. LOL!

Within 11-minutes, I was done capturing my thoughts and decided to share a portion of what I wrote with my #LinkedInCommunity on this beautiful Sunday afternoon — the end. 😊

Friends, until we meet again on Saturday at 11 am #NewYorkCity time, have a pleasant Sunday hanging outside with friends and family.
