Rainbow

I was up and outside at the crack of dawn, speaking with a few of my neighbors as we all stood in awe, watching the sunrise, when, unexpectedly, Renee, a good friend of mine, gently tapped me on my left shoulder, tap-tap!

So naturally, I immediately turned around, and after looking directly into her pretty light brown eyes, she gave me a friendly wink of the eye, followed that with a warm smile, and then said, “Hey Anthony, OMG, there’s a rainbow behind you, shining brightly in the #NewYork sky!”

With a cute little dog barking profusely, ruff-ruff, and some friends taking photographs nearby, I quickly turned towards the iconic #NYC skyline, and there it was, for my viewing pleasure, a spectacular-looking rainbow!

Friends, it’s been a couple of years since I last saw a rainbow beaming over the Hudson River and the Manhattan sky, so as you might expect, I snapped a few pics; and when done, I found a bench to sit on and began capturing thoughts.

Worth mentioning, whenever I see a rainbow in the sky hovering over the Big Apple, I usually think of the famous quote by Maya Angelou “Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.”

With the above lovely thought in mind, I share this post to connect with you more profoundly and hopefully brighten your day, especially if today was cloudly for you on your precious journey.

So as I now sit on the bench, shown below, grateful for this moment in my vibrant city, I could not help but also think of the diverse group of individuals in my LinkedIn community, shining light all around the world like this beautiful rainbow!

Indeed, I value the diversity of thought and knowledge you all continue to share with me so graciously. Additionally, I look forward to our future conversations and continued growth together on this platform, always respectfully.
