Quietness on a Snowy Day in the City
While walking up a block in the ❤ of the city early this Sunday morning, the wind suddenly began to swirl, and the force it generated caused a bunch of snow to sprinkle in the air from the massive amount of snow resting on the tree branches nearby. Yikes!
Right as this was happening, I immediately squinted my eyes as I waited for the snow dust to clear from the air, which had just blurred my vision.
As I continued to walk carefully up the street on my way to meet up with some friends at a city diner, I unexpectedly became captivated by the quietness of my surroundings, and instinctively, I began to take pleasure in the present moment!
With not a single person in the vicinity, my inner voice told me to look around slowly and marvel at nature in this incredible moment of tranquillity.
I then drifted into a meditative state and proceeded to move carefully through the snow, intentionally taking full advantage of this rare opportunity to look at my beautiful city, free from noise and without anyone else in my direct line of sight!
The next thing I knew, I was standing on the corner and getting ready to walk up the next block. When I looked straight ahead, the image of the lamp post, colorful bushes, and tree branches combined with the sight of several boats resting in the harbor in the background quickly caught my eye.
As you might expect, I started walking in that direction to get a closer look at the splendor of the imagery, and of course, I just had to take a couple of pics for my photo journal.
After making my way up the path, I stopped by the pier for a minute to admire a gaggle of geese floating in the river quietly.
I must ask🤔, as you were looking at the above image, did you feel the peacefulness that I was experiencing at that moment?
A few minutes later, I rushed back towards the path shown below to hustle over to the city diner to ensure I didn’t arrive late for my breakfast date — the end.
Friends, until we meet again on Saturday at 11 am ET, I wish you a relaxing Sunday and a great week ahead. Let’s go! 😊
