Bow Bridge at Central Park

I was sitting by the fireplace this evening, sipping on a glass of Pinot noir, flipping through my journal, eventually reading an entry from back in February, which took me back on a fun trip down memory lane at my favorite New York City park.

This delightful experience was of a time when I was jogging around Central Park, admiring the beauty of the snow that recently fell on the ground.

Since I haven’t shared these photos on my feed, I decided to post them tonight to hopefully brighten your day, especially those who frequently consume my authentic LinkedIn content. Thank you!

Okay, my experience at Central Park took place on a frigid Saturday morning, February 13 of this year, to be exact. With that stated, the following is a recap of said journal entry with the pictures to match up with the story, shared with you for your reading and viewing pleasure on this lovely Tuesday evening:

- A Visit to Bow Bridge at Central Park

After being cooped up in the house for most of the week due to the recent snowstorm in #NYC, I was eager to venture out from my neighborhood to see some new scenery.

So while getting dressed, the idea of going to Central Park popped into my head, and since I haven’t been to my favorite park this year, I figured now would be an excellent time to make that happen. Let’s do it!

A few minutes later, I was driving to the park in my Satin Cashmere Metallic Lexus SUV, soon to be searching for a parking spot.

Friends, the closer and closer I got to the park’s Columbus Circle main entrance, my excitement started to intensify in anticipation of visiting the legendary Bow Bridge. Let’s go!

Worth mentioning, Bow Bridge is famously known as one of Central Park’s most romantic spots for those of you not familiar. And, with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, going here today seemed fitting, as thoughts of #love and happiness were on the top of my mind.

Now standing at the entrance to Bow Bridge, absorbing the sights, sounds, and charm of this gorgeous place, my creative writing juices began to flow ever so freely, and the outline of a romantic poem suddenly flashed in my mind.

Instinctively, I quickly turned on my voice recorder, closed my eyes tightly, and spoke the poem’s words directly into my iPhone.

The second I uttered the last word of my newest poem, I opened my eyes, pressed play to listen to the recording, and then snapped a pic of a lovely couple walking by while cherishing this precious moment.

Well, folks, that does it for this spur-of-the-moment post, filled with lots of love, optimism, and jubilation, which is my 2021 virtual Christmas gift to you. 😊

Thank you so much for reading another #AnthonySledge creative post and taking the many virtual walks with me throughout this great year via my posts!

Happy Holidays!
