Better Than Good
I woke up this morning feeling “Better than Good,” ready to crush the day and shine my beautiful light around the world on this super Tuesday!
With feelings of unending optimism flowing throughout my body, I decided to channel this positive energy, which had overtaken my soul, and use it to inspire others via one of my unique #LinkedIn posts!
With no idea of what I was going to write about on this precious day before me, I was still confident that the words to another #AnthonySledge story would magically appear in my mind; in the nick of time!
Knowing that the magic of my storytelling prowess was soon about to activate, I quickly put on some cold weather jogging gear and went outside to partake in my early morning run. Let’s go!
When I landed on the pier a short while later, I wanted to peek into the commercial gray binoculars I suddenly spotted, shown in the first slide of the slideshow. As a result, I walked over to satisfy this sudden desire, with an extra pep in my step. Let’s do it!
After looking through the oversized lenses, I slowly moved the binoculars from left to right, scoping out Hoboken, Jersey City, and the incomparable #NewYorkCity.
Once I finished looking through the glossy gray binoculars, I took a deep breath, looked to my left, waved at a friendly woman jogging nearby, and then I closed my eyes in a gesture of quietude, just like the “Water’s Soul” sculpture, which was resting on the pier nearby.
Pause for a second and take a quick glimpse below.
Immediately after a moment of deep reflection, I took a few minutes to collect my thoughts and then calmly summarized this beautiful experience into my Evernote journal app!
The next thing I knew, I was jogging along the paved road at an easy-going pace, looking all around and deliberately admiring the holiday decorations, all while listening to my favorite Tony Robbins motivational YouTube playlists!
Then, approximately 22 minutes into my run, I began to feel the city’s amazing vibe and electrifying energy, combined with a chill in the air blowing on my body from the Hudson River, which felt downright refreshing!
Folks, at this point in my jog, I suddenly realized that it was time to turn around and start making my way back to the crib; however, since I was also craving a hot cup of coffee, I made a quick run into Starbucks to buy a grande cup of blonde roast. Lol!
I will end it here because it’s time for me to get back indoors and warm up from the cold. Moreover, I felt like writing tonight and decided to share a portion of my journal entry of this morning’s experience and virtually sprinkle my kind-hearted feelings onto you.
Indeed, it’s always a pleasure to spend time with you during a rare weekday LinkedIn share, and I trust you will enjoy reviewing the pictures that I’ve attached to this post. 😊
Well, friends, I will catch up with you again on Saturday at 11 am. Until then, I wish you a terrific rest of your week!
