Now that the trees are starting to bloom 🌺 in the big city, I decided to take a moment early Sunday morning to admire their splendor and the other beautiful sights often associated with springtime!
With that in mind, as you read the ensuing paragraphs, envision me standing beneath the tree shown in the photo above, located just a few feet away from the Hudson River.
Friends, I stood underneath that tree for five straight minutes, mesmerized by its beauty as the wind blew its branches from side to side and lightly on my face!
Note: This imagery reminded me of the cherry blossom trees 🌺 in Central Park; indeed, a breathtaking sight that I am sure to see at some point this spring — so stay tuned.
As you might expect, this gorgeous setting quickly made me feel relaxed, and as a result, my creative writing juices began to flow, and within minutes, I found myself lost in thought!
When I realized the loveliness of this moment, I opened my eyes extra wide because I wanted to fully absorb everything that the universe was gifting me in this precious moment.
Then, out of the blue, my inner voice whispered, Anthony Sledge, please tilt your head upward slightly and look directly at the sky.
So without hesitation, I looked up, and when I did, I saw a spectacular image of the sun 🌞 peeking down at me, beaming its bright light through the colorful flowers hanging from the tree branches, which I’ve illustrated in the picture below.
Instinctively, I reached for my #iPhone, opened my camera app, and took a few pics! 📷
I then spent the next seven minutes recapping this wonderful experience into my Evernote journal app and decided to share my journal entry with you tonight.
Well, that does it for this spur-of-the-moment post, triggered by me intentionally stopping to appreciate the beauty of nature and spring on Easter Sunday. 🐰
Furthermore, I share portions of my journal entries with pleasure and purpose, trusting that my authentic and random stories will brighten the day of many in my #LinkedIn community. 😊
Have a pleasant evening.
