A Walk During a Cold Night

During halftime of an NFL playoff game yesterday evening, I decided to go out for some fresh air, and about 20 yards into my walk, I realized that this was a bad idea because it was next-level cold outside. Lol! ❄️

However, before I abandoned my impromptu evening stroll, the universe flashed some beautiful imagery right in front of me, which captured my imagination.

Naturally, I began to look around and appreciate the breathtaking scenery, and while in the process, I heard my inner voice say, “Anthony, take some photos and share them with the world!”

As a result, I was now inspired and fully invested in this moment, so I calmly took a deep breath, took off my orange gloves, pulled out my iPhone, and proceeded to walk around slowly, allowing my instincts to dictate the exact time that I should snap a pic.

Soon, I was looking up at the Goldman Sachs Tower and admiring the #NewYorkCity skyline with the moon shining brightly in the background.

As I was eyeballing the Goldman Sachs skyscraper, I suddenly became mesmerized by the condensation blowing from the top of the tower due to the freezing temperature with the moon hovering silently and peacefully above in the dark blue sky.

Admittedly, something about this imagery made me smile and produced a serene feeling inside.

Friends, even though the temperature outside was in the single digits, I felt nice and warm inside because I was so engrossed in this present moment. Love it! ❤️

Interestingly enough, I began to feel the cold air beating up against my body the second I stopped fully embracing the present moment!

Fast forward to today, when l woke up this morning, I hurried downstairs, hopped on the treadmill, and started journaling about last night’s lovely experience.

As soon as I finished typing into my journal app and read what I wrote, my inner voice kindly reminded me that I was supposed to share this journal entry with you, along with the images, of course.

Folks, rarely do I post on #LinkedIn on consecutive days, but I am sharing this experience with you for the reasons mentioned above.

Until we meet again on Saturday, 11 am ET, have a relaxing Sunday and a great week ahead. Let’s go!
