A Visit to Manhattan West
While in the streets of Manhattan West, on my way to Penn Station to catch an Amtrak train, I came upon the National Hockey League (NHL) store. As I got close to the store, to my surprise, I suddenly found myself less than 10 yards away from the Citrovia Lemon Garden, which opened back in July.
Since I’ve never been to this new public garden that I’ve heard so much about, I decided to take a moment and check out what appears to be a very colorful place. So off I went, heading in its direction, and as you’ve come to expect from me, I was ready to take some pics if something caught my eye and, of course, journal my thoughts. Let’s do it!
As soon as I walked past the NHL store’s main entrance, I looked up and then quickly to my left, and that’s when I got another surprise, a view of a gorgeous mural of the iconic #NYC midtown skyline, a picture that was visually pleasing to my eyes.
Also worth mentioning, this drawing included a sentence beautifully painted that read, “This place has everything,” which was a fitting line describing the greatest city in the world!
So after taking a minute to process that message while standing gleefully in front of the mural, I calmly turned my body back to the center and began walking straight towards the charming-looking garden.
Before I knew it, I was standing inside the lemon garden, totally mesmerized by all of the vibrant colors combined with this fresh lemony citrus fragrance gently flowing through my nose. And, with that thought now swirling in your head, I suspect you’re probably smelling the scent of fresh lemons right now. Lol!
Friends, I went on to stand still for 90 seconds on purpose, fully absorbing the splendor of this place, and right after that, I started easing my way around the lemon garden, thoroughly examining and appreciating every inch of the scenery in this uniquely designed garden.
As I was beginning to wind down my tour, I came upon a royal blue sign with bright white letters and two arrows pointing to my intended landing spot, Moynihan Train Hall and Penn Station. Moreover, I continued my spontaneous lemon garden tour for a few more minutes, followed by crossing the street and entering the famous Pennsylvania Train Station, shown below.
What’s more, I couldn’t help but notice the pretty wreath above the large glass doors, which reminded me that the holiday season is just around the corner.
Well, folks, it’s time for me to get over to track 11 to wait for my train; however, since I am not in a rush, I will spend some time exploring Moynihan Train Hall, another gem of a place that officially opened earlier this year. As a result, there very well could be a second part to this story that I might share with you.
Stay tuned…😊
Share your thoughts, and have a fabulous weekend!
