A Rainy Wednesday in the City

While walking around the city on this cold and rainy Wednesday evening, I came upon a lamp-post that immediately attracted my attention!

So much so that I decided to walk over and stand right beneath it to get an up-close view.

Consequently, after staring at it for just a few seconds, I became mesmerized by the beauty of the light radiating from the streetlight.

Friends, I was so captivated by the soft white glow of the light that I drifted off into a meditative state; and in so doing, I suddenly felt a strong desire to write.

As a result, I ended up sitting down on the wet sidewalk, intentionally allowing myself to appreciate the moment while also journaling my thoughts!

Worth mentioning, it’s something about the smell, and the soothing sounds of the rain falling that inspires me to write as well; hence, it could have been a combination of both that got me journaling tonight. 😊
