A Brisk Walk This Evening

After taking a brisk walk this evening, I stopped at a city park to relax and enjoy a Peppermint White Hot Chocolate from Starbucks.

Although it was nippy outside, drinking a steaming hot cup of cocoa made me feel warm inside, and before I knew it, I found myself in a meditative state.

Usually, for me, being in a meditative state means closing my eyes and allowing my thoughts to flow freely. However, on this particular windy and cold night in the big city, for some reason, I decided to keep my eyes wide open and let my imagination run wild!

As I went on to look around ever so slowly, I quickly became dazzled by the assortment of bright-colored seats in front of me, combined with the various shades of white lights sparkling from the windows on buildings in my vicinity, making for a beautiful sight.

Also worth mentioning, there was a quietness in the atmosphere that felt soothing, which triggered my creative thinking and writing powers!

As I continued to embrace and lean further into this lovely moment, out of the blue, a topic for an article popped into my head, which I plan on writing about in my journal later tonight.

Indeed, I promise to share what I wrote in a future edition of my newsletter, “Reflections by #AnthonySledge,” so be on the lookout for my next issue.

With snow forecasted for the Big Apple this weekend, Saturday is an excellent time to catch up on some reading, so I will finish the final three chapters of a book I’ve been reading.

As a result, I will be looking for my next book to read.

With that in mind, did you read a good book recently that you want to recommend?

I wish you all a relaxing Thursday evening and a fantastic Friday. Stay warm! 😊
